Identical in design to the Wymington footbridge processed in August 2013, Murphy International once again chose NL Williams Group provide a range of Network rail approved products to the replacement footbridge.
The XN90-N1 specification was chosen by Network Rail as a part of NR/L3/CIV/039, a system designed to last for up to 25 years. The substrate was first cleaned to an SA3 standard, which was then thermally metal sprayed and sealed.. A high solids epoxy intermediate was then applied followed by a polyurethane finish coat in Holly Green. The handrails also received the full specification along with Thermakote ‘warm touch’ to keep the handrails at a nominal temperature regardless of weather conditions.
